Loveland Ski Area Opening Day 2009
Loveland Ski Area opened today, October 7, 2009, marking their earliest opening day in over 40 years and the first ski area in North America to open for the 2009/2010 season. Thanks to cold temperatures, natural snow and a great team of professional snowmakers from New Zealand, the conditions were excellent. Loveland has always been my favorite as it is an hour from Denver, has close-in parking and fantastic early season, late season and mid-winter snow.
